We had to re-create Hansel and Gretel. By using all of the fantastic's
The tasks for the first 9 sentences were : Drench our text in smelling and tasting words, Repetition and Adjectives and similes.
The tasks for the second 9 sentences was too: Use noticing words, Modal verbs and semicolons along with feeling words.
Hansel stayed close to the ground, he had always had a fear of heights. Gretel hoisted herself up to the final branch and gazed around the surrounding area. It was absolutely beautiful but then she saw something it seemed to be a house “Hey!, I see a house in the distance, Maybe they can give us some food” “are you sure it’s a house” yelled Hansel.'' It doesn’t matter, at least he can have some shelter” Said Gretel climbing down the tree. The both walked towards the house in the misty woods. The grass was cold and cracked underneath their feet. It got so cold their breath was visible. But they couldn’t give up. The trees were dripping. The siblings could taste the breeze. Hansel felt as cold as a snow, Gretel felt tired and sad
The next task for the next 9 sentences was : Adverbial Phrases, Dialogue and Complex sentences (witch Description.)
They finally reached an opening in the trees. The house was visible. The house seemed to be made of candy, frosting dripped down the side of the building looking like last night's frost. Hansel and Gretel Both ran to the house and knocked on the door. Hansel took some bits of chocolate from the windowsill and shoved it in his mouth. A person came to the door, but it didn’t seem to be a person. It was a witch, She had acne all over her face She also had green hair. She asked the children “what are you two doing out here” “we are hungry” Gretel exclaimed “come in i'll feed you up” Said the witch sinisterly.
I think I reached these goals because I used plenty of complex sentences.
The task after that was to use : Alteration, and repetition, and comparatives and complex sentences
The witch grabbed the children and threw them in a cage. She enlarged Hansel every-second of every-burp he grew in size drastically, by feeding him : Captivating Chocolate, Delicious Doughnuts and Scrumptious Snickers. Hansel got larger and wider. He was the fattest thing the witch had seen… if the witch could see. The witch was partially blind, she didn’t have the best eyesight. When the siblings knew this information they started making their ingenious plan. Every time the witch came over to check on how fat Hansel was. He would hold up a chicken bone and say “I'm still as scrawny as ever you can’t eat me yet”. The witch knew Hansel was right; she couldn’t feast on the big round boy until he was huge. While Hansel was growing Gretel was searching for a way out. She saw a key on top of the shelves. Gretel reached her long skinny arms out of the cage and extended her fingers to reach the key. With no hesitation Gretel opened the cage door and rolled Hansel out. Hansel stood up on his two stubby legs that could barely hold him up. And put the witch into the previously lit fire. She burnt up into flames, leaving only ashes enraging the fire. The siblings ran out of the house. As the house burnt down behind them. It looked like the children both were walking away from an explosion. Gretel didn’t know what to do, Her and Hansel were both going to starve and had nowhere to go. But out of nothingness the most amazing thing came to them...
Question time! What is your favorite book?
I also made a image of the witch!
