ReplyDeleteThank you for creating this blog post and sharing with us some information about the SPCA!
The SPCA is such an amazing charity who, like you mentioned, protect animals that are sick, injured, abused or abandoned.
I never knew that the SPCA consists of 41 animal shelters around New Zealand, or that they have launched public education campaigns about the humane treatment of animals, so thank you for sharing this new information!
Did you know that the SPCA helps out around 40,000 animals a year? It is amazing how they can help so many sick and injured animals get back to full health!
There are so many ways people can help out the SPCA like adopting animals, donating goods to SPCA stores, and even volunteering to help.
Have you ever adopted an animal from the SPCA?
When I lived in Australia, I had to call the SPCA (or in Australia they call it the RSPCA) to help a kangaroo which had been attacked by a dog. The kangaroo was not in very good shape, and I watched over him until the SPCA arrived to help him out.
I was extremely thankful for everything the SPCA did to help out the injured kangaroo, and was so relieved when they were able to nurture him back to full health.
If I could start my own charity, I would create one similar to the SPCA. This is because I adore animals, and hate to see them in any kind of pain.
If you could start your own charity, what would it be about?
Keep up the excellent work!
