Superhero for a day


If I was a superhero for the day my three main powers

Flight, I chose flight because I could travel to places without spending thousands of dollars.

Shape Shifting, I would also chose shape shifting because I could shape shift into a celebrity and get free tickets to concerts.

Teleportation, If I could teleport I would teleport on top of the Eiffel tower, or watch the sunrise from the Sky tower I could teleport in and out of cinemas for free!

Planetary Poem


This is Neil Armstrong
He made it to the moon 
in the afternoon
his spacecraft was called the Apollo 11
and once he landed it felt like heaven

when Neil's left foot touched the ground
he turned around
and said one small step for man, one giant step for mankind

SPCA

The SPCA stands for "Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals" 

The SPCA consists of 41 animal shelters around New Zealand It has launched public education campaigns about the humane treatment of animals 

and has tried to make people to change their behaviour towards animals, the SPCA is also the the second most trusted charity

The SPCA gets people that have been cruel towards animals and take them to court, The SPCA protect animals that have been sick, injured, abused and abandoned 

The SPCA runs charity shops to pay for supplies for animals

They rescue animals and take them to shelters to look after them.

My Cultural Background


My grandfather was born in east Germany and grew up in east Berlin. in the late 1940's 
Germany was splint into two parts after world war 2. He fled to New Zealand in the early 1960's.

Every year for Christmas we design and make a gingerbread house to eat. 

We open some presents on Christmas eve. 

We eat German foods my favorite German food is schnitzel.

We celebrate Easter and Christmas.

I also am part french. My father's family came from France, they were some of the first people to arrive in New Zealand settling in Akaora. 

We eat french food my favorite french food is croissant. 

My grandmother is part of the Libeau family.

I am a member of the Alliance Française.

Energetic Explorers


The first challenge in the Summer Learning Journey is : Explorers and how they found new Zealand. We have list 10 foods the Explorers would take with them and explain why we chose them. I·─f I were to sail the pacific ocean I would take :

Coconuts, because they are a reliable source of food and liquid, but they take about one year to grow and they weigh about 1.44 kg.

Bananas, because are an amazing source of potassium and can last along time because of their fruity outsides, they are also a great source of energy to keep the Explorers energized for along time.

Peanuts,  Nuts have tons of protein and are one of the food the average person should eat everyday unless you have an allergy then don't eat them.

Apricots, Apricots are one of the many food that contain Iron, they can also taste delicious.

Fish, Fish is among the healthiest things on this world it's full of with vitamin D and protein and did you know that fish is a great source of omega 3 fatty acid which is important for your body and brain.

Honey, Honey can prevent cancer and heart disease, reduce ulcers, ease digestive problems and much more. 

Onions,onions contain fiber and folic acid, a B vitamin that helps the body make new cells and they last along time!.

Rice, Rice lasts along time and has iron and B vitamins like folic acid, niacin, thiamine in it.

Green Vegetables, Green Vegetables have tons of iron in them, they are the best vegetable.

Soft Grains, Last a long time up to 8 years if sealed properly.
